The U10 Clarence-Rockland Crush skated their way to victory this weekend at the Coco Lemay Tournament, capturing the U10 title after a series of hard-fought games.
The round robin was tightly contested, with all four teams earning wins. The Casselman-Embrun IceDogs and the Crush both finished with identical 2-1 records, but the IceDogs secured the top seed based on their head-to-head result. The Osgoode Richmond Romans and Ottawa West Golden Knights rounded out the standings, setting up an exciting semifinal Sunday.
In the semifinals, the Crush defeated the Romans 5-1, while the Golden Knights upset the top-seeded IceDogs 5-3 to earn their place in the final.
The championship game featured strong defensive play from both sides, but the hometown Crush held on for a 2-1 win over the Golden Knights to take home the U10 title.
Congratulations to all teams for an outstanding weekend of hockey and great sportsmanship throughout the tournament!
